CONSCIENTIZATION PROGRAMME
NEED AND SIGNIFICANCE
As a part of the revised curriculum programme for the partial fulfilment of securing B.Ed. Degree. This is an individual work and thus I have concluded the awareness programme on the topic Positive and Negative Effects of Internet. Internet is an inevitable and integral part of modern life. Every services on today’s world leans on to the internet facility due to its mass appeal and effectiveness in consolidating the people. So it is impossible to abstain from internet. As the topic suggests the programme intends to make an awareness on the positive and negative effects of the internet and to encourage them use the internet on a utilitarian and beneficial way. I hope to channelize their time, efforts and interest in proper direction towards their life goals.
OBJECTIVES
To provide information about negative effects of the internetTo provide information about the positive uses of the internet
To check and understand student’s attitude towards internet
To create awareness about the scope of internet in improving oneself.
To invite students about adequate, appropriate and beneficial use of internet.
PLAN OF ACTION
Planning is an important and significant criterion behind every successful mission. Only proper planning can lead to proper presentation and feedback. I decided that it should be a good chance to give valuable information to the students based on their life. So I have chosen the topic “Positive and Negative Effects of the Internet” for the conscientization programme. I have also planned to show them a video presentation that clearly depicts the negative effects of internet. I plan to execute the class with the aid of ppt. I have planned to conduct the programme based on the topic “Positive and Negative Effects of the Internet on students
EXECUTION OF THE PLAN
As planned, the programme was conducted on 28 January at 11.4 A.M on G.H.S.S, Kanyakulangara . I selected the 8th standard students for the programme .i have welcomed the students to the programme. After a prayer we began the session. With the help of a video I initiated students about the negative effects of internet. Then with the aid of ppt I gave them information about the positive and negative effects of internet.it was an interactive session. I asked them some questions related to the topic and they answered well. They also asked their doubts to me. I was able to clarify them properly. After the class I assigned them a task to prepare a poster. With the set time they came forward with some posters. After that an oath was taken about adequate and appropriate use of internet. At the end of class, class leader Jerin delivered a vote of thanks.
REFLECTION
The Conscientization Programme that I have conducted was a successful one. The topic was ‘Positive and Negative Effects of Internet’. It was truly an interactive session. I felt that the points also helped me to boost my confidence level. It also helped me to improve the qualities of presentation skills, leadership skills, organisation and team work skills. Students were felicitated for the programme. The topic also seemed very apt and relevant for the contemporary era. I could complete the programme on time. I was also able to give enough time for students to complete their task (i.e. Poster making). Students were very enthusiastic and drawn into the topic and activities.

I reach the school for 9:10 a.m.and signed the attendance register. yes I want to conduct achievement test today on the 7th hour I reminded my students to be prepared with papers. I saw the question paper to my concern teacher to get her approval.At 12:30. I went for noon feeding. After the lunch break on the seventh period I conducted achievement test
After the period was over I collect the answer sheet and by 3:45 p.m. so School

RC teacher of work experience was absent today I took class in the 4th period in 8C and I start the poem "My grandmother's house". Students were active throughout the class and I was able to follow the lesson plan systematically.In the afternoon session during the seventh period I taught the remaining stanza of the poem "My grandmother's house" and did the textual activity. I inform the students about the achievement test which is going to be conducted on the next day and also passed information regarding the top of the class by 3:45 p.m. the schoo

Today i intend to finish “ the merchant of Venice” by today and to take a grammar portion (possessive pronoun) based on direct instructional model. So I decided to lend a period from music sir in order to finish the chapter . I have class on the fifith period and I used the period to conclude The merchant of vein ice after that I asked student sabouy their opinion on the play. I gave the students some assignments I got the seventh period from the counseling teacher. DI Model is very effective to teach grammar. So Decided to teach possessives pro noun based on DI Model . I Leaned on charts to make the class effective . I felt that the students got a better understanding of possessive pronoun. I used PPT show more examples and make the students to identify to possessive pronoun from it. At 3.30 pm we left the school after the National Anthem .

Today I took continuous two periods in 8 C, third and forth period respectively, one was mine and the other was that of Maths teacher in the third period I taught The Merchant of Venice Using role play model. Students were very enthusiastic to enact the play. They were divided into four group and all of them chose to play the trail scene. After spending some time for planning and character making they enacted the portion in a good manner. But the duration of the enactment exceeded the set time so the lag was cut short by reducing dialogues. All of the four teams enacted the scene very skillfully. In the after noon season after the lunch break I got another period immediately and I used the period to complete the portion and to implement my lesson plan up to 28 at 3:30 pm we left the school after the national anthem.

In the morning section i spend some time for my record work and during the fourth period I went to 8c and started the class by showing a video. After that I resumed to teach the remaining portion of The merchant of Venice” then our optional teacher Prasanth sir came for observation out of the blue.
I got a little nervous at first then I got back in track. After the entry activity I gave them a letter as discourse. After the presentation by the student I gave the assignment . After the class prasanth sir gave me an idea about the merits and demerits of many class he gave me some suggestions to improve the effectiveness of my class. Sir asked one to minimize my reading speed and altogether it was good and systematic. At 12:30, an usual I went for noon-fooding. At 3:30pm we left the school after the National Anthem.

On the fourth period I conducted the post diagnostic test. At 12:30 p.m. we went for noon feeding.I have no class on the afternoon session so I utilised free time to complete my record and to correct the remaining notebooks and assignments of my students.

On the fourth period I conducted the post diagnostic test. At 12:30 p.m. we went for noon feeding.I have no class on the afternoon session so I utilised free time to complete my record and to correct the remaining notebooks and assignments of my students.

I reached the school by 9 a.m. Prashant sir , our optional teacher informed us that he will be coming today for observation and ask me to arrange class on fore noon session. Sir reached the school by 9:30 a.m and went for observation for the trainees on the first and second period. On the third period he came to observe my class. I took the chapter "The Merchant of Venice" on 8 C. After the class he gave me a detailed review of my class. And gave me some instructions to be followed. After observing my class he left the school. At 12:30 p.m. we went for noon feeding. After the lunch break on the 7 period I went for substitution class on 5 C. At 3:30 p.m. I went to the office to sign my attendance. After that I left the school by 3:50 p.m.

I took class in 8C on the fourth period.Students responded actively but some student had several concept doubt about justice and mercy. I attended and clarified their doubts individually.But I have to bring more clarification to the topic by furthering the discussion in the next class. I completed my 23rd lesson plan.After lunch break I collected the notebooks for correction which I returned to them on the second interval. By 3:45 p.m. left the school.

And I had asked several students to state the bond signed between Antonio and shylock.Then I moved on to the chapter and ask scaffolding questions to which the students replied well. Today the class was overall satisfactory. At 12:30 we went for noon feeding and by 3:45 I left the school.

As today is Friday I got the fourth hour on 8 c.I didn't get adequate time to take the class as I have to distribute the answer sheet to the students. Most of the students scored a reasonably well. At 12:30 p.m. 14 noon feeding and by 3:45 p.m we left the school.

I reached the school by 9:30 a.m.I am at my concern teacher and she had over me the answer sheet to distribute them on the class. As today is Friday I got the fourth hour on 8 c.I didn't get adequate time to take the class as I have to distribute the answer sheet to the students. Most of the students scored a reasonably well. At 12:30 p.m. 14 noon feeding and by 3:45 p.m we left the school.

Today as usual started with prayer. I went to the class on the fourth period. I checked the homework of the students.I then finished teaching the remaining portion of "The school for sympathy"
At 12:30 p.m we went for noon feeding.sixth and seventh period where free on 8C so I utilised the period to begin "The Merchant of Venice". After a general introduction I begin the chapter. At 3:45 p.m. left the school

I didn't get any satisfactory answers, so I went on to give a short summary to them and ask them to add point to it, responded well. Then I took the remaining portion I given a loud reading section to 3 students. Today went well assistants were very responsive. By 3:45 pm I left the school.

After a short break we have again admitted into the school for the remaining teaching practice.As the time table was the same.I had to take 3rd period on 8C .I fijisfin the remaining portion of " The Merchant of Venice".At 12: 30 pm we went for noon feeding 6th and 7th period were also free on 8C which I utilised to begin the second act of "The Merchant of Venice".At 3:50 pm I left the school.
